28th March 2010
Everyone is welcome in the beer tent to watch the England's opening game in the football World Cup against USA. Don't expect a massive screen however, but a 25" set should suffice especially if we are all huddled around it all cosy like!!!
Match starts at 19:30 so will finish around 9:15, just right for start of the disco and the arrival of the trucks for the "Sound Off Competition" who won't really get going until it's dark around 22:00ish. Naturally the bar will be serving, plus there will be a BBQ if you can’t be bothered to cook your own.
Pace yourselves folks, I have a feeling it's gonna be a long long night!

On Site Camping and Entertainment
There will be cheap on-site camping for tents, caravans and motorhomes, and evening entertainment in the beer tent on Friday and Saturday nights.
New this year will be a “Twist-Off Ramp” in the arena, a new off-road area called “Winch Wood” – ‘cause nobody has driven it so far – and stuff going on in the beer tent both Friday and Saturday nights. Sat night will be the big ‘un with a BBQ, when it gets dark a “Sound Off Competition” (just how loud and bling with lights & gismos is your truck?) swiftly followed by a disco complete with smoke/lasers/the works … plus the bar of course!
That said, don’t expect a ‘show’ as such with loads of trade stands, JJJ is a good, ol’ fashioned get-together weekend where the emphasis is on inexpensive off-roading and the club scene, not big traders with mega bucks displays. JJJ is for us enthusiasts, pure and simple. Tom Mc
July 2009
Well, it appears we have a new annual event in the calendar! The weekend went down a storm (actually the storm was Friday morning which gave the off-road course a much-needed dousing) thereafter 90% sunshine Saturday and Sunday.
As I said on a 4x4 forum, the weekend reminded me of the early days of Land Rover gatherings. Friendly, good banter, lots of parties. Love it! We may still take the Mick out of each other's vehicles - Jeep, Japs or Land Rover - but dig a little deeper and basically we're all the same. It's us 4x4 enthusiasts versus the world, always has been, always will be.
A big THANK YOU to all those traders, clubs and individuals who supported Jap 'n' Jeep Jam 2009, especially Legal Street Monsters whose members put on a splendid display, especially Saturday night by surrounding the beer tent with a sound and light show. Same goes to all those who joined in the Arena Games. Who would have thought that Wellie Wangling (or should I say "Rigger Boot Wangling") would prove so popular!
As soon as you get yourself a 2010 diary, enter Jap 'n' Jeep Jam over the weekend of 12th - 13th June 2010. As you know there is room to expand, so the message to any clubs who want to hold their National Rally over the same weekend and utilise the white marquee for their AGM - you are most welcome.
Thanks again,
Tom McGuigan (Event Director)
